YouTuber Moore’s Law Is Dead has shared some new rumors pertaining to AMD’s next round of HEDT processors, the Zen 3-based Ryzen Threadripper 5000 Series. According to Moore’s, the flagship Ryzen Theadripper 5990X will feature 64 CPU cores just like the current Ryzen Threadripper 3990X flagship and support up to four channels of DDR4 memory (up to 3,200 MHz), as well as 64 total PCIe 4.0 lanes. Contrary to previous rumors, however, the Ryzen Theadripper 5990X reportedly won’t launch until the November 2021 time frame. Moore’s sources also suggest that AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 5000 Series will carry a higher premium than the current Zen 2-based options. Additionally, there’s a claim that AMD plans to launch its Zen 4-based Ryzen Threadripper 6000 Series in 2023, which will feature SKUs with up to 96 cores...
