AMD's move to acquire Silo AI for $665 million sounds like a bold step in boosting their AI capabilities. It'll be interesting to see how this enhances their products against NVIDIA's offerings in the AI space.

It seems to me that they want to make an AI engine properly targeted to take advantage of their AI compute hardware. Maybe they will make a better platform and deliver something that runs better on all hardware? But that seems counter intuitive unless they have licensing sweetheart deals for their hardware.

Software is the biggest profit though.
