Anthony Mackie to Star in PlayStation Productions’ Live-Action Twisted Metal Series

Anthony Mackie is an accomplished actor who seems to have no problem landing major roles, whether it be for mechanical-winged superheroes or more grounded characters in critically acclaimed dramas.



Despite the recent news of Mackie cementing his role as Captain America in a fourth installment for Marvel Studios, Deadline has revealed that the actor intends to get even busier by starring in Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions’ live-action adaptation of Twisted Metal, the popular vehicular combat franchise spawned by defunct 1990s developer SingleTrac.

I only saw him in Altered Carbon, and judging by that a wooden plank has more talent than this guy.
 
Oh great, more video game properties being made into movies, just what we f*cking needed. Just wasting money developing more trash.

Only ever seen this guy as Falcon in MCU stuff, and as Tupac in Notorious, so no idea how well he would act in other roles. He should probably just stick to the Falcon stuff.
 
His presented persona is alright and I haven't had a problem with his acting in anything I've seen him in including Altered Carbon. Remember he had to continue the acting role as started by another actor because he was the 'same character' inside.

I'm just wondering how the hell twisted metal will make an interesting series.
