Apple’s First OLED iPad Expected in 2023, According to Display Supply Chain Insiders

There have been numerous rumors about Apple planning a switch to OLED panels for its popular family of iPad tablets. Contrary to recent speculation about a 2022 (or even 2021) release date, the display supply chain experts at Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) have published a report suggesting that Apple’s first iPad models to adopt OLED technology will actually reach the market sometime in 2023. DSCC believes that these new iPads with premium panels will help boost the overall tablet market to over $1 billion in 2024. According to popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s first OLED iPad will be an iPad Air model rather than an iPad Pro.
