Apple has announced a new iPad Air for 2020. There’s nothing too exciting here in terms of aesthetics (as you might expect, it looks like a tablet), but this happens to be the first model housing Apple’s latest cutting-edge SoC, the A14 Bionic. According to Apple, this multi-core chip (5 nm, TSMC) offers up to 40 percent better CPU performance than its predecessor. Its four-core graphics architecture also grants a 30 percent boost in graphics performance.
The new iPad Air will be available next month in silver, space gray, rose gold, green, and sky blue finishes. Pricing starts at $599 for the lower-tier model, which includes 64 GB of storage and basic Wi-Fi connectivity.
