Backlight bleeding, blooming, and other problems inherent to LCD displays could be a thing of the past for iPad users who decide to upgrade their Apple tablets next year. This is according to a new report from South Korea’s ET News, which claims that some of Apple’s 2022 iPad models will feature OLED displays instead of LCDs for dramatically improved picture quality. It was only last month that Apple unveiled its new iPad Pro Liquid Retina XDR display with over 10,000 LEDs and 250,000 local dimming zones for up to 1,000 nits of full-screen brightness and 1,600 nits of peak brightness, but OLED is sure to outclass it with its superior contrast ratios...
