During today’s Spring Loaded event, Apple announced the latest additions to its growing ARM-based M1 chip family: the iMac and iPad Pro. Apple’s new iMac is said to boast 85 percent faster CPU performance and 2x faster GPU performance over the older 21.5-inch model, while the new iPad Pro reportedly delivers 50 percent more CPU performance and 40 percent faster GPU performance over its A12Z Bionic-powered predecessor. Apple’s new iMac with 7-core GPU ($1,299), 11-inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi ($799), 11-inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi + Cellular ($999), 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi ($1,099), and 12.9-inch iPad Pro with WiFi + Cellular ($1,299) will be available to order on apple.com beginning Friday, April 30.
