Arm's market share in Windows is going to grow significantly in the years ahead, and not only that, the number could be better than 50% in as little as the next five years, according to the latest statements shared by Rene Haas, Arm's CEO since February 2022.

I could easily see just about every laptop and cheap AIO desktop (think retail POSes and the army of small business machines) going ARM easily - those are all commodity items now, not terribly performance-dependent, and ripe for a price war.

I'm honestly surprised they haven't taken off already - but I guess there hasn't really been a price-comparative ARM substitute quite yet (nVidia's Tegra has probably been the closest thing, and it was charging nVidia prices), and Microsoft's half-hearted commitment (at least until very recently) to supporting it certainly didn't help
 
I don't know... I guess if all you use is a laptop it might be a wunderkind of a CPU.
