Asgard Announces DDR5 Memory: Mass Production to Begin Alongside Intel’s 12th Gen “Alder Lake-S” Processors

Shenzhen-based memory manufacturer Asgard is one of the first to announce DDR5 memory. The news was shared by a contributor at Chinese hardware outlet IT Home, whose report clarified that Asgard hasn’t actually begun producing its new DDR5 memory yet. Mass production is expected to begin when Intel’s 12th Gen Core “Alder Lake-S” and 600 Series motherboards are listed, however.



“According to official information, the voltage of Asgard DDR5 memory is 1.1 V, the timing is 40-40-40 , and the capacity is 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB,” IT Home reported. “Compared with DDR4 memory, this memory can increase the speed by nearly two times, reduce energy consumption by 20 percent, and is more stable.”
