ASRock has announced the W790 WS, a new motherboard that supports Intel's Xeon W-3400/W-2400 series workstation processors (LGA4677). Users will find up to 2 TB DDR5 ECC RDIMM support, PCIe 5.0 expansion slots, USB4/Thunderbolt 4, dual 10 Gbps Ethernet, as well as a flagship-class 14-layer PCB and 20+2 phase CPU VRM, something that ASRock says ensures ultimate performance and superb reliability, even when the hardware is subjected to the most demanding sustained workloads. The motherboard also includes support for ASRock's Blazing Quad M.2 Card, an SSD PCI-Express x16 add-in card that enables support for an additional four PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe SSDs (25110).
