Batman: Arkham Origins Developer Announcing New Game at DC FanDome

The schedule for DC’s virtual “FanDome” convention is now available, and Arkham Trilogy fans caught something particularly interesting among its smorgasbord of events: WB Games Montreal, the studio behind Batman: Arkham Origins (Arkham Asylum’s prequel), will be making an announcement during the “Hall of Heroes” segment on August 22, 10:30 AM PT/1:30 PM ET. What this probably means is that a new Arkham title is imminent (what else could Montreal be working on?).



There’s already been plenty of speculation about a new Batman game in the Arkham series. Rumors claim that it’ll revolve around the “Court of Owls,” a secret, bird-themed organization that wants the Dark Knight dead. I enjoyed Arkham Origins, but it really did feel like a studio copying a Rocksteady Batman game versus being an actual Rocksteady Batman game.

Still, looking forward to it. It's been far too long since the last Batman game and the Court of Owls is one of my favourite Batman story arcs. Heck, any Snyder Batman New 52 arc would make for a great game setting.
 
Origins was good, but it wasn't quite as good as the Rocksteady games.
