EA and DICE have sent out email invites confirming that Battlefield 2042’s technical playtest will commence next week. From August 12 to August 15, select EA playtesters will be able to enjoy a limited portion of the game to help DICE test out some of the multiplayer-only FPS’s core features, such as cross-play functionality (PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 players will be able to compete against one another during the test). PC users can find the minimum and recommend system requirements below. Unlike recent tests such as Halo Infinite’s technical multiplayer preview, Battlefield 2042’s technical playtest is under a strict NDA, which means that any footage that makes it onto the web will likely be taken down.
