I'd never heard of it before a couple days ago.... seems like a SteamOS replicant for windows handhelds. I'm installing on a VM now and might consider throwing on my potato laptop.

I just saw this come across my news feed as well and was curious. Lemme know what you think

I've been using it on my ROG Ally and have been having a great time with it - it's actually made my ROG Ally my main PC lately (my Ally is a lot quieter than my desktop). I was dual booting Bazzite and Windows at one point, but (iirc) a Windows update borked my dual boot and instead of finding a workaround I just installed the OS on separate SSDs and swap when required (though I've been using solely Bazzite on this thing for weeks now).

I know an official Steam OS is just around the corner, but I might be hard pressed to move away from Bazzite because it's been a solid experience so far.

I use it with the OG ASRock deskmini with a Ryzen pro 2400G. And sometimes on a 5600X3D+RX 6800 system. Had to rely on my kid to help me get private internet access working on it because they don't support Fedora yet. I still don't have the GUI yet, but it's no big deal, I just copy pasta the stuff I saved to get it up and running.

Other than that it has been fairly easy to use. It is more compatible with my BT Xbox controller than Holo.iso was. It kept dropping and reconnecting on Holo even after troubleshooting.

You can use Heroic games launcher for GOG, Amazon, and Epic, though I haven't tried it yet myself.

I keep meaning to try another distro as it is mildly annoying sometimes that it thinks I'm on a Steam Deck. For example: I had to add a launch argument to Fallout 4 because it would launch the game without giving me the settings menu first. The 2400G couldn't handle the Steam Deck settings, they were a bit too demanding.
