Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a comprehensive release that’s packed with not only single-player base content but nearly all of the original games’ DLC, but one major component that will be missing when the compilation launches tomorrow is the multiplayer mode of Mass Effect 3. BioWare hasn’t ruled out the possibility that it might return in a future update, however—project director Mac Walters recently told CNET that the cooperative multiplayer mode might actually find its way back depending on the demand for it and whether BioWare can round up enough resources to make it happen. Dubbed “Galaxy at War,” Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode allows up to four players to take on waves of Reapers, Cerberus, and other enemies to earn rewards that could influence the outcome of the main game.
