ArtPlay released Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, a spiritual successor to Konami and Nintendo’s classic Castlevania and Metroid games, in 2019. According to a new corporate overview published by parent company Digital Bros, a “second version” of the game is in development, which suggests that Bloodstained fans can begin gearing up for a new sequel. Developed by former Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has sold over one million copies since its release on Windows, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and mobile platforms.

I dunno, 'second version' makes me think it will be a remixed version of the original - maybe with a new playable character or a couple of new areas thrown in (ala Sega Saturn version of Castlevania: SotN).
 
Well, if it is a sequel, looking forward to it, as Bloodstained RotN was a good game (as well as Bloodstained CotM 1 and 2).
