Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Remastered Doesn’t Exist, Claims Activision

Activision released remastered versions of two of its most popular and critically acclaimed Call of Duty titles, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, in 2017 and 2020, respectively.



These remastered editions suggested that Activision was almost certainly developing a new version of its third Modern Warfare installment, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but the publishing giant has now gone on record claiming that no such update is in the works.



“A remaster of Modern Warfare 3, campaign or multiplayer, does not exist,” Activision wrote in a statement to Charlie Intel, noting that “any reports otherwise are incorrect.”



Activision is presumably referring to the many rumors being spread by Call of Duty leakers over YouTube and other social media channels who seemed confident that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3...
