Activision and Raven Software have released a patch for Call of Duty: Warzone that allows the PlayStation version of the game to run at 120 Hz on the PS5, making it the first PS4 backwards compatible game to support higher frame rates on Sony’s next-generation system. The development is somewhat surprising, being that Rocket League developer Psyonix had previously suggested that enabling 120 FPS for PS4 backward compatible titles on PS5 might require “a full port” of the game. It isn’t clear when Raven will be finished with its next-gen versions of Call of Duty: Warzone, which are expected to bring other improvements such as faster loading times.
