Capcom added Sakura Kasugano to Street Fighter V in January 2018 to bolster the popular fighter’s roster of DLC characters. Years later, the company’s designers have been compelled to revisit the fan-favorite, Ryu-idolizing character following what was apparently endless complaints over her appearance.
As illustrated by various screenshots shared by players on r/StreetFighter and other social media, Capcom has delivered an update that not only changes Sakura’s fighting stance on the character select and versus screens, but her face as well. Gone is the bug-eyed look, replaced by something that arguably looks more natural and acceptable for Street Fighter V players who have made Sakura their waifu.
It appears that Capcom didn’t have to do a lot work either, as Sakura’s new character select appearance looks to be a perfect match for her...
