Capcom is developing a new Resident Evil title called Resident Evil Re:Verse that allows players to take control of some of the franchise’s most popular characters and do battle against others in four to six-person “survival horror revenge matches” online. Following a less-than-spectacular reception to the game’s beta, Capcom has announced that it has decided to delay Resident Evil Re:Verse’s release from its original July 2021 launch date to 2022. This is so the Resident Evil Re:Verse team can better ensure a smooth gameplay experience. Capcom’s Resident Evil Re:Verse will be a free download for anyone who purchased the latest mainline installment of Resident Evil, Resident Evil Village.
