The latest installment of Capcom’s iconic survival horror series, Resident Evil Village (RE8), will support ray tracing effects bolstered by AMD FidelityFX, red team’s open-source image quality toolkit for delivering higher visual quality. Radeon CVP & GM Scott Herkelman confirmed the partnership during today’s Radeon RX 6700 XT unveil event, which included a short clip demonstrating what RE8 might look like on Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards with ray tracing and select FidelityFX effects (e.g., Contrast Adaptive Sharpening, Ambient Occlusion) enabled.
