Really is interesting what happened with Hideki Kamiya. He and Clover Studios did some great work at Capcom. Then Capcom tossed them out on the street, and Kamiya and Capcom parted ways on bad terms. He co-founded his own studio PlatinumGames (where a bunch of Clover Studios staff went), did some awesome sh1t over there too. But because Capcom owned Okami and Clover Studios was long gone, most people assumed the series was dead (the DS "sequel" Okamiden doesn't count, wasn't made by Kamiya). When Kamiya left Platinum, I couldn't fathom why. Seemed pretty stupid. Now though I see what was going on. He resurrected Clover Studios with his new company Clovers. And Capcom, well we're not used to companies doing what they should be doing in the game industry, so it's strange to see Capcom not only making a sequel to Okami, but getting the right man for the job too. I guess they buried the hatchet. I've never played Okami but my brother really enjoyed it, as do most people I know who played it (the original PS2 version, not the butched port that surfaced later on Wii and I think PC, and maybe some other systems).
One of my friends really loved the Onimusha series, and he's tickled pink that Capcom is finally revisting the IP.
