Resident Evil 4 has already been blessed with multiple high-definition remasters (e.g., RE4 HD and RE4 Ultimate HD Edition), but Capcom believes that the fan favorite deserves something even better. According to a report from Video Games Chronicle, the developer has greenlit a modern Resident Evil 4 remake, which is tentatively planned for release in 2022.
The game is reportedly being helmed by M-Two, which had a hand in this year’s Resident Evil 3 Remake. This is a studio that was founded by PlatinumGames’s ex-CEO, Tatsuya Minami, whose credits include classics such as Devil May Cry, Mega Man, Street Fighter II Turbo, and Super Ghouls and Ghosts.
