The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Malcolm Spellman, the head writer and creator behind The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, is developing a fourth installment of Captain America following the success of his recently concluded Disney+ spin-off. While casting information is unknown, the final episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would suggest that Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson (The Falcon) will star in the film as the new, titular Avenger. Previous rumors have claimed that Chris Evans, who seemingly gave up the shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame, might be back in some capacity.
