Computex 2020 Canceled? Companies Call for Postponement as Taiwan Bans Foreign Visitors

Computex, the world’s biggest computer show, is probably canceled for 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.



While no official decision has been made, a report by DIGITIMES suggests that it’s all but inevitable, as Taiwan has banned the entry of foreign visitors. That alone eliminates a ton of exhibitors, as well as press and other participants.



Taiwanese companies are asking Computex’s organizers – the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taipei Compute Association (TCA) – to postpone the show from its original date (June 2-6), but a full cancellation seems in order, as many nationals have already pulled out.
