Remedy Entertainment has shared a press release that contains some solid news for fans of its latest supernatural action-adventure franchise, Control.



Alongside various financials, Remedy Entertainment CEO Tero Virtala revealed in the announcement that Control has managed to reach a massive audience. Apparently, over 10 million players have enjoyed the game since its initial release in August 2019, which doesn’t seem too long ago.



Control originally launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store as a year-long exclusive for the PC platform. The game later made it to Steam as part of a comprehensive Ultimate Edition that featured bonuses such as the Foundation and AWE expansions. I have to wonder how many of those 10 million players are like me and got it for free on EGS but still haven't even installed it.
 
My only question is who will they sell out to this time? Maybe a PS5 exclusive? They haven't done that yet.

Oh I forgot about the EGS giveaway. I was going to mention it was free on PS+, which according to Dr Google has over 47 million active subscribers. So if Control only has 10 million active (across ALL platforms even worse) that means a whole bunch of people who could have got it for free said "Meh, whatever"

Personally I got through about halfway and rage quit. I got so sick of the backtracking and horrible load times on PS4. But I will try to finish it on PS5 since it is supposed to be a lot smoother/faster/better.
