That's in line for a platinum rated power supply. What makes me scratch my head is 80 plus platinum. I thought Platinum was 90+.
And I thought wrong my EVGA is 80+ Platinum.
Quick check of Newegg (Because Microcenter doesn't even have any.), and that's also in line for 1300 watt titanium rated power supplies.
The benefit to a higher rated power supply is to deliver it's load it actually consumes less power. So if you consider 1000 watts.. at 90% as opposed to 80%. You need roughly (inaccurately ) 1200 Watts to supply that power from the wall, and for a 90% efficient power supply you need 1100 watts.
Just something to consider.
