More of NVIDIA’s AIB/AICs have come out of the woodwork to provide (limited) insight on the ongoing drama surrounding their custom GeForce RTX 3080 models, some of which are allegedly crashing due to capacitor misconfigurations and/or some other kind of insidious engineering oversight. While ASUS, GIGABYTE, and other bigwigs are maintaining radio silence, EVGA, GAINWARD, GALAX, INNO3D, MSI, and ZOTAC have acknowledged the allegations and provided assurance that they are looking into the issue. Nice to see manufacturers that took steps to do things right say so. It does put some egg on the face of other makers for not doing the same level of qc. Evga is back in the running for my next video card.
