The PlayStation Store’s top downloads list for June 2021 was notable in that it coincided with the return of CD PROJEKT RED’s controversial sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077.

Despite being removed by Sony late last year for “performance issues” (which the company still warns players about to this day with a disclaimer found on its store page), Cyberpunk 2077 managed to come back strong by grabbing the number-one spot in the list of most downloaded titles for June, beating out heavyweight titles such as Grand Theft Auto V and NBA 2K21.

Unfortunately for CD PROJEKT RED, it appears that PlayStation gamers have already decided to forget about Cyberpunk 2077 again.

Notable that Anthem was #18 on EU chart, and that game is d-e-d.

I am not surprised CB2077 isn't on the PS4 list - Sony has pretty much told everyone with a PS4 not to bother. But I think we are at the point where the PS4 sales chart doesn't mean a lot, if something like Anthem is still there.

Also, holy cow, will GTAV ever die?

Good points all around. I think it's well known that Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that should never have appeared on XBOX One and PS4 in the first place. Sony has been al but telling people not to buy it either, so it shouldn't come as any shock to anyone. I think console gamers that are interested in the game that haven't bought it, are waiting for the next gen update for the PS5 and XBOX Series X.

Interestingly, there has been something of a resurgence of people playing it on Steam, but I think a lot of people are waiting for the DLC's to drop before getting back into it. Unfortunately, it's been some time since the last patch (v1.23) and CDPR has basically been radio silent on what's going on with the game. It's believed that the next major patch will drop a few days before their next earnings call later this month. That seems to be the way CDPR has been handling things with this game.
