Dell Lists First 4K Monitors with LG’s “IPS Black” Tech for Improved Contrast Ratios

LG revealed its “IPS Black” technology at CES last month, a new high-end, premium LCD technology that could enable 35 percent deeper blacks than traditional IPS displays. Dell has now listed two of the world’s first IPS Black monitors, the UltraSharp 27 4K USB-C Hub Monitor (U2723QE) and UltraSharp 32 4K USB-C Hub Monitor (U3223QE), which cost $779.99 and $1,149.99, respectively. Both of these displays feature a contrast ratio of 2000:1, an improvement over the 1000:1 that’s typically seen in IPS displays.
