AMD's Robert Hallock has posted a new beta chipset driver that allows Destiny 2 to launch on third-gen Ryzen CPUs. This appears to be a temporary workaround until an official fix is released, but many Guardians claim it is indeed working.

A lot of people are saying that the problem lies with Bungie's use of RDRAND, an instruction for returning random numbers. Still, AMD has apologized for not including Destiny 2 in its standard test suite.

Going back to the topic of Destiny 2, I'm hoping you can help me test a workaround driver that should get you into the game. This is a beta chipset driver, and it may give you an installer warning or two if you're upgrading an existing driver, but I believe this should work around the D2 launch issue. Can you let me know if it works?

I actually tested this earlier today. I'm pleased to report that Destiny 2 does now indeed run on Ryzen 3000 series processors. Unfortunately, I haven't done any significant performance testing on it so far.
