Diablo Immortal, the mobile game that’s best known for inspiring a BlizzCon attendee to call out Blizzard for making an out-of-season April Fools’ joke, has been delayed to next year. Originally intended for release in 2021, Blizzard confirmed in a blog post today that Diablo Immortal wouldn’t make it until the first half of 2022. This is so the team can make “substantial improvements to the whole game.” Some of these improvements include additions such as new PvE raids that provide a greater challenge for groups of up to eight players, as well as tweaks to Battleground, the game’s PvP mode. Diablo Immortal players can also expect to find controller support in the final version of the mobile title, which means that users who hate touch controls may actually try the game.
