DICE Delays Battlefield 2042 to November 19, 2021

DICE has relayed the disappointing news that Battlefield 2042 will no longer be launching on its originally planned release date of October 22, 2021. Instead, the multiplayer-only FPS will now be dropping nearly a month later on November 19, 2021.



Battlefield 2042’s new release date was shared by Oskar Gabrielson, DICE’s general manager, who tweeted a statement on Twitter this afternoon explaining why the developer had decided to delay the game. It appears to have everything to do with the ongoing global pandemic, which, as DICE explains, has created “unforeseen challenges” for the Battlefield team.
