Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the new fantasy action RPG from BioWare that launched for PS5, Windows PCs, and Xbox Series X|S on Halloween, may have "underperformed" and failed to meet internal targets because today's gamers don't appreciate blockbuster storytelling anymore, according to new statements that Stuart Canfield (CFO, EVP at EA) made during the company's Q3 2025 earnings call, which was held on February 4.

Yea... sure... let me see what Lyrian Studio's says about that.

IDIOTS. the whole reason that Dragon Age Veilguard failed is because people know and have a very recent title to say THIS IS WHAT IS IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE. Then you release some POS with design and depth that was found on a Nintendo for story and flexibility then bitch and moan that people don't understand your story. Eat a bag of D's man.

It is people like this why I won't feel sorry for the ultimate demise of the western AAA gaming industry.

They are like the horse that keeps ducking its head under the feedbag, no matter how hard you try to pull it up.

Let's be frank it failed because it was written by utter morons who are incapable of writing anything but their own lived experiences and their personal power fantasy self inserts. All of whom have been fired now, rightfully so. Their pronouns now are: was/were.
