A user on 4chan has shared gameplay footage and screenshots for a 2001 version of Duke Nukem Forever, the infamous sequel to 3D Realms' 1996 shooter that took nearly 15 years to develop due to various setbacks that included engine changes and legal disputes.

If they would have completed and released each version of the game iso scrapping it, they would still be in business.

They were really close a number of times, but then they wanted to start over using better tech until they ran out of money

They didn't figure out they could milk films of the original games for years with no repercussions except for hundreds of millions of dollars. You know... like what Star Citizen is doing.
