Denis Villeneuve’s new big-budget adaptation of Frank Herbert’s iconic sci-fi novel, Dune, will likely be getting a sequel as intended regardless of whether it succeeds or bombs at the box office. This is according to WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Chair and CEO Ann Sarnoff, who told Deadline during a sit-down chat that anyone who saw the ending to the film should know whether another movie is coming.

“Will we have a sequel to Dune? If you watch the movie you see how it ends. Good I've seen it on max and will see it in theaters as well.
 
I enjoyed it .. I might have to revisit the original theatrical Dune .. if .. I .. can just .. get past the dated .. specialeffects ...
yeah, I'm a bit spoiled like that. Even though I'm in my 50's.
 
I rewatched it a few months ago. It held up but really it's right there with star wars as my favorite sci fi movies.
