Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, the third-person action RPG and brawler from publisher Wizards of the Coast and developer Tuque Games that allows players to battle legendary monsters, earn powerful gear, and unlock new abilities with up to three other friends, is shutting down and will no longer be available for purchase starting on February 24, 2025, according to an updated About section for the game that can be found on Steam.

I had never heard of this game before. I own Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance I and II (from GoG), and Baldur's Gate has historically been based around Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, whereas the Dark Alliance offshoot is more of an ARPG loosely based on the same (minus certain daily spell restrictions - for gameplay reasons). So enter ... Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance ... which has nothing to do with the previous titles. And aside from the fact it's not offered on GoG, it completely missed my radar.

I really enjoyed the original 2 games, and would even go so far as to say that they were 2 of the best console ARPGs of their time. Unfortunately this new one was utter trash... on a good day.
