Dwayne Johnson Will Return as Hobbs in New Fast & Furious Film for Universal

Dwayne Johnson has announced that he will be reprising his role as DSS Agent Luke Hobbs in a new, but still untitled, Fast & Furious film from Universal. A report from Deadline, which includes a pretty big spoiler for those who haven't seen Fast X yet, suggests that the new movie is not a sequel or spin-off to 2019's Hobbs & Shaw but is its own, separate film, which implies the spotlight will be mostly (or entirely) on Johnson this time around. There's also talk that Johnson may appear in Fast X: Part II, seemingly marking the official end of his feud with franchise star Vin Diesel.
