EA and Criterion Games are inviting racing fans back to Seacrest County with a newly remastered version of 2010’s high-speed cops-and-robbers hit, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Developed in collaboration with Stellar Entertainment, the remaster improves upon the original with not only enhanced visuals and new content, but cross-platform multiplayer fueled by the game’s competitive social network, Autolog.

Need for Speed: Remastered will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 6, while the Nintendo Switch version will follow soon after on November 13. All of the original game’s DLC is included. You can check out a full list of vehicles...

NFS: PU is the only worthy of a remaster/remake, IMO. Add a few more of the recent models from the 2000's, and people would jump on that in a heartbeat.

Unless it is done by eden games, nope, they better leave it alone. And since eden games no longer exists...
At least some of the devs are apparently working on TDU3.

Eden Games does still exist. Their last console game was Gear Club Unlimited on the Switch released on 2018. They just released a new expansion pack for it at the end of August this year.

Yeah, the company name is used, but it's not the same studio who develped NFS:pU and TDU.

Of course they now removed the 2010 game from sale on all digital platforms. Maybe you should wait until the new version is out before considering doing this?

Maybe they plan on giving everyone who owned the previous version a free upgrade.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Sorry I couldn't resist.

It's a typical marketing move, since the game is not that old, they don't want people to get confused between old and new. Which wouldn't be a problem if they did anything original. Really when was the last time EA did put out something that wasn't a rehash of a rehash? No, JEdi Fallen order doesn't count as that is a rehash of Jedi Knight and Force Unleshead, which itself was a rehash of shadows of the empire.
