EA Play No Longer Coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC This Year

Microsoft has shared the disappointing news that EA Play, Electronics Arts’ game subscription service, will not be added to the PC tier of Xbox Game Pass this year as originally intended. The Xbox Game Pass team has remained mum on why this happened, but it promises that EA Play will eventually make its way to PC subscribers sometime in 2021.



“Unfortunately, what had been a celebratory post is now one asking for a little more patience,” the Xbox Game Pass team wrote. “We made the decision to delay until 2021 the release of EA Play on PC as part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate memberships.”

I wonder what the reason is. I can't imagine it being anymore difficult to implement than it was on Xbox.

And I'm equally sure that I won't really miss EA Pass being part of XBGP.
