Elden Ring Gets Delayed to February 2022, Closed Network Test for Consoles Happening Next Month

FromSoftware has shared the slightly disappointing news that its heavily hyped action RPG, Elden Ring, has suffered a minor delay. The game was originally supposed to launch on January 21, 2022 but will now debut around a month later on February 25, 2022. Elden Ring will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on that date.



As explained by publisher Bandai Namco:



The depth of the game and the degree of freedom in strategy exceeded the initial expectations, hence it has been decided to extend the development time for final adjustments thus moving the release date to February 25, 2022.
