Electronic Arts has announced its acquisition of Glu Mobile, a leading developer and publisher of mobile games such as Design Home, MLB Tap Sports Baseball, and Disney Sorcerer’s Arena, in a deal worth 2.1 billion in enterprise value. The acquisition was undertaken by EA to create a leading mobile portfolio across key genres, as well as to accelerate growth and expand its live services and creative leadership teams.

EA wants to expand their loot box / pay2win empire to phones, apparently.
 
EA already gets about 15% of their revenue from mobile, so it's not like it's new to them. They are simply expanding where there's the most growth.

Nah, EA's history has proven that EA's most recent AAA games / business decisions from 8-years-ago until today suck balls and they has failed so miserably that they are losing major exclusives and gamer' confidence and the rumors are true that EA is the worst gaming company in the world.
