The Nintendo Switch has proven to be one of the world’s best-selling consoles, but if things had turned out differently, Nintendo might have been on its way out. During Twitch’s recent New York Gaming Awards stream (via Nintendo Life), former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé was asked what his biggest achievement was at the gaming giant and revealed that it was helping the company transition from the disastrous Wii U generation to the Switch. The wii.u was poorly marketed more that anything else.
I do wonder if needed nintendo will ever attempt to go back to the powerful console market.
The moves they made, make sense though.
There may be things to do with the fat console market though.
