Digital Dreams has shared a new video demonstrating how amazing Playground Games’ new open-world racer, Forza Horizon 5, can look on hardware that’s capable of running the game at 8K. An ASUS PRIME X470-PRO motherboard, AMD Ryzen 3900X processor, and ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 3090 was used for this demo.

Another video that Digital Dreams shared demonstrates what Forza Horizon 5 will look like at the more accessible but similarly gorgeous resolution of 4K. It comprises nine minutes of Range Rover footage.

Forza Horizon 5 is already available to play for those who have purchased the Premium Edition or Premium Add-ons Bundle on Xbox or Windows PCs, but the game will be officially released worldwide this Tuesday, November 9. Xbox Game Pass members can also access the title beginning on that date.

Gotta say even at 1440p the game looks **** good

"Forza Horizon 5 Looks Breathtaking in 8K" say people who are looking at Youtube compressed videos of the game using sub-8k monitors :p

The game may look great, but I doubt 8K is a huge part of that.

That said, 8K DSR really is some of the best antialiasing you can get, but that can probably be done at a much less computational expense than rendering at 8k and downsampling.
