Npus are mostly playing a different game - intels lunar lake announced at Computex perform around 50 TOPS and are mobile oriented. A 4090 clocks in at over 1300 TOPS of performance (per Nvidia).

Npus, at least now, are trying to move lightweight ai tasks to "edge" computing - gigabyte is going after small to midsize business that want to run a yuge local llm.

From what I have observed thus far NPU's mean NOT Processing Usually.
