GIGABYTE has announced that it will be rolling out new BIOS updates to address those reports from yesterday about how the company had sold millions of PC motherboards with a firmware backdoor. New beta BIOSes for Intel 700/600 and AMD 500/400 series motherboards are already available, according to GIGABYTE, while new BIOSes for Intel 500/400 and AMD 600 series chipset motherboards will be released later today. Eclypsium, a firmware-focused cybersecurity company, detailed GIGABYTE's oversight in a blog post dated May 31.
