The PC version of God of War isn’t being handled by its original developer and creator of the long-running action franchise, Santa Monica Studio. This has been confirmed by Sony, which told ArsTechnica in a statement last week that Jetpack Interactive is the outfit that’s behind the port. Jetpack is a Vancouver-based studio that has provided “engineering support” for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 for EA and the Steam upgrade of Dark Souls for Bandai Namco, among other projects.

Sony representatives have confirmed to Ars that this port is being “overseen” by its creators at Sony Santa Monica while otherwise handled by Jetpack Interactive, a port-focused studio based in Vancouver, BC.
