GOG has released a major update to its Galaxy 2.0 game launcher (still in closed beta), which aims to consolidate gamers' libraries into a single, beautiful app. One of the major additions is a global search function for not only adding and launching games, but finding friends or metadata.

Games can also be added manually by browsing and linking to game executables, each of which are tracked by the launcher to provide statistics such as total time played. There is also a new panel for managing active, queued, and completed downloads, as well as additional customization options for the grid and list views.

If your games and gaming buddies are scattered between different launchers and platforms, this is a solution for you! Keeping track of all achievements earned by you and your friends, hours played, and games owned across platforms has never been this easy. And the application is entirely free, all you need is a GOG account to use it.

I’ll try this launcher. Watch closely, epic, this is how it’s done.
