Google Announces Pixel 5 ($699) with 4,080 mAh Battery

During this afternoon’s “Launch Night In” event, Google announced its latest smartphones: the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G).



The Pixel 5 is a $699 5G smartphone that supports wireless charging. It’s also water resistant, but what’s really exciting is its bigger, 4,080 mAh battery. That’s a huge improvement over the Pixel 4’s 2,800 mAh battery.



“Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 also have all-day batteries that can last up to 48 hours with Extreme Battery Saver,” Google wrote. “This mode automatically limits active apps to just the essentials and lets you choose additional apps you want to keep on.”

picked up a pixel 2 used and I really like the phone .. plus it updated to Android 11 of which I thought I'd only be able to do 10, so that was a pleasant surprise. If I had the money, I'd get the 5 and give this 2 to my 11 year old daughter.

I'm spoiled by the DAC in my LG V40, and its decent camera's as well.

I stream Tidal Masters with MQA from time to time and the LG is the only phone so far I can straight plug in to one of my Stereo systems and get acceptable Audio.

Yeah I'm a snob. But I like good sound.

I got a Google 3XL. Just cracked the top of the screen this morning and the back of the phone has been cracked for a while.

Debating just getting another 3XL. I don't feel like the phone can't handle what I want, but that crack on the front will irritate me.

Where can I buy a new 3XL or a used/refurbished in great condition?
