Project Jarvis, the codename for a new type of AI that is said to be advanced enough to take over a user's entire computer and completely control the company's Chrome browser to help users automatically complete certain tasks, such as ordering products from online stores and paying for plane tickets, is currently in development at Google, according to a new report that surfaced over the weekend.

Yeah, that will never find its way onto any computer I own or use if I have any say in the matter.

I am already considering no longer using Android phones, at least without 3rd party ROM's like GrapheneOS (though that project has some flaws too).

Whatever happened to "The Linux Phone" we used to hear about that was coming. There needs to be a new non-Google, Non-Apple option. I used to worry about losing access to all the apps I care about, but I am ready to just give up on all of them with all of this dystopian bullshit coming my way.

Would be cool if someone made a Linux phone OS with a VM or Container layer that could run Android apps in a private sandbox. I'd buy that so hard.
