YouTube shared the disappointing news on Friday that its streaming TV service would be losing major channels such as ESPN and National Geographic due to failed negotiations with Disney, but now, just a few days later, the companies have already managed to patch things up.
As noted in an updated version of its blog post pertaining to YouTube TV and Disney programming, YouTube has reached a deal with Disney that will allow YouTube TV subscribers to continue enjoying Disney channels that include ESPN and FX. Local ABC stations have also been returned to the subscription service.
“As we promised a $15 discount while the Disney content remained off platform, we will still honor a one-time credit for all impacted members,” YouTube added, sweetening the news for subscribers.
